It’s hard to talk about Wednesday night without coming on like a pretentious luvvie of the first water. Even the pro cast were in tears afterwards, overcome by having opened a major London theatre, and all I can say is that is was an absolute honour to be part of it.
I’m reading the reviews today – five stars, almost to a critic – and realising what a huge thing this was (is), and getting all emotional. Obviously they don’t mention some balding specky Herbert playing third Jew from the left, but still, it’s amazing to think you might have added something, however small.
Here’s what they’re saying, if you’re interested. One show down, eight to go. I’ll be sad when it’s over:
The Guardian
The Telegraph
The Times
