So tomorrow morning I fly to Paris to interview one of Europe�s most influential music producers � a little bit nervous but as long as I can fake an encyclopaedic knowledge of French pop, I�m sure he won�t twig that I don�t really have too much of a clue what I�m talking about. Maybe I can stretch talking about the weather for the whole three hours we have together, or in true Anglo abroad stylee spend the whole tme asking him very loudly and slowly the way to the nearest beach. The guy has produced Nick Cave, Air and Depeche Mode, so I�m sure I�ll be the journalistic equivalent of an irritating tic to him, but hopefully he�ll find my incompetence charming.
